This article studies some factors that influence the creativity and innovation of a good entrepreneur. The analytical, analogical, imaginary and intuitive logic are analyzed in this article. The intuition and the subconscious play important roles in creativity. Both the left-brain and right-brain also contribute to creativity. The result shows that these factors has the most influences on a person’s creativity: intuition, foresight, proactivity, openness to suggestions, willingness to explore, ability of using language and thinking, mental predisposition, the ability to deal and cope with ambiguity and originality and thoroughness of thought. Creativity can be a person’s talent and it can be developed with later efforts.

This article studies meaning of the term entrepreneurship, with the researches of the following companies: Waynabox, Lock up, Uber, Pinterest. The result shows that a good entreprise needs innovation and encourage, knowledge is another factor that can not be ignored. The authors also suggest that schools should introduce more concepts of entreprise to their students, and develop to the general knowledge. The development of the internet has brought success to many companies, it is important to master some necessary new technological skills. With the synergy of globalization and the internet, more customers from all over the world will be gathered.

This journal talks about some features of good leadership. A business owner should be equipped with the ability of leading people. Thinking big will widen the possibilities for the development in the future; knowing that being a leader is responsible to make others’ life better, people under your management should be united, it’s a good way to increase working efficiency; it’s not the end of the world when you fail, but you should learn from it and seek opportunities behind the mistake; your next step after being knocked down is the most important; keeping learning is expanding the way of thinking. 

Cultural/ Artistic Artifacts:

This iceberg illusion of success shows many things behind the glamorous surface, it can be used to any kind of success, including the success of the business. These factors contribute to the development of my topic, which is the myth of the self-made. They also can be considered as the invisible traits of the self-made. These factors also explain why not everyone can succeed in starting up a business, it’s seems easy to conquer in this picture, but life is more complicated, the truth is that any one of these seven can be extremely difficult for an individual. 

Experiential Research:

The social mobility means the movements of the social status of the individuals or families. This phenomina is different in various countries. The self-made people is the group that become a member of a higher social class from the lower one they used to be in. According to my life experience, here’s a popular saying of a pessimistic view of the social mobility: you can’t have a noble child from a humble family. But the fact is that many people are making their life better with their own efforts. I know more about the Chinese society so my observation is based on it. The education system in China provides the children from the ordinary families a better chance to change their life with knowledge. Additionally, the development commerce has boosted since the 1980s, with the reform of the economic policy. The growth of economy also make the number of the billionaires and millionaires grow, and most of them are self-made, which is the evidence to refute that saying.

Librarian Visit:

I talked to 2 librarians in Dawson Library because it was between shifts. I didn’t ask the first lady’s name, the second librarian is Mrs. Stav Vitoratos. Both of them were very useful. My topic is about “self-made” businessmen and/or businesswomen, which is more like a non-academic topic, I had problems when I tried to find the scholarly sources, the results I got were not related at all. So I asked them to help me find some. The first librarian looked up “self-made” in Thesaurus to get some synonyms as the keywords, and we got the first one. Then she shifted with Mrs. Vitoratos, she came up with more keywords for my on-topic and big-picture researches, she also used Google scholar and found me more related articles. It was really useful to talk to the librarians.
